The Sayle Chair by fuseproject

Inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge, the frameless Sayle Chair is a model of suspension principles.
After introducing the Sayle Chair to the European and Asia markets, Yves Behar (below), founder of fuseproject, recently unveiled his new Sayle Chair for Herman Miller to a San Francisco audience at Design Within Reach.

Ticket Contest to Bouquets to Art

From a small beachside bucket shop in Southern California to the hallowed halls of the Martha Stewart empire, the fabulous Kate Berry continues to influence how we look at flowers, our interior spaces, and our events.

As style director for Martha Stewart Weddings and a regular contributor to Martha Stewart Living, Berry draws her inspiration from objects she finds in her urban life  - glamorous gemstones, a pretty handbag or a gorgeous ball of yarn - and interprets them into winning visual creations.  (For a full interview with Kate Berry and her favorite styling tips, click here.)

On Thursday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. exclusively for Bouquets to Art 2011, Berry will reveal the process for creating an editorial spread, from the initial brainstorm to the styling and final production through a slideshow that will feature the flowers blooming in Martha Stewart's gardens in Bedford, New York and at "Skylands" in Maine.  Berry will also demonstrate how to create some of her most popular magazine arrangements.

And, just because it's been such a long winter and we think you need a big dose of Spring, we have arranged a special contest.

Join DesignSwirl here or on Facebook and tell us, in the comment box, why you would want to attend Kate Berry's Styling for Martha Stewart.  The winner will be chosen at random and receive two tickets to the presentation with admission to Bouquets to Art.

And, because we believe that if one contest is great, two are even better,  increase your chances to see Bouquets to Art by clicking here and joining us on Twitter.  These two tickets will be for a one-time admission to see the floral arrangements anytime during open hours from Tuesday, March 15 to Saturday, March 19.

The contests close on Sunday, March 13 and the winners will be announced here. *
